Figured I'd toss up a thread on here and let people see the random stuff I've been working on with the laser cutter. Feel free to drool, critique, add input, come up with killer ideas, ask questions or whatever you like. Digital fabrication is fun, and having this tool in my garage has been like a dream.

Any recommendations? I'm currently using an MS Wireless Laser 6000 and I LOVE it, but the ruber scroll wheel is literally falling apart every time I use it. It's far out of warranty as well.

I'm looking for something tailored towards FPS gaming, with adjustable DPI buttons. Can be wired or wireless. don't care if it's got adjustable weights or not. I've got fairly large hands so I need something comfortable ()like my MS mouse currently is).

So last night my friend asked me to start researching some computer setups that are around the 600 to 700 range. While I was like sure I used to do this stuff all the time, it was how I would kill like 30mins to 45mins to set up wish list that worked together in all different price ranges..Now I'm sitting at Newegg and have no idea where I should start..He just wants a rig that can play most games fast but doesnt really care as to what its using to get there..so no preference on intel or AMD.. So here we go, I'm diving back into the world of researching better equipment for cheaper..Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking around on the forums and just can't get past how awesome a Corsair 600T looks when fully watercooled. I'm also debating on getting the 2 cheaper cases and making 1 case but that would take up a lot of room. I find it very hard to not just hit that buy button and be done with it.

Anyone else have this problem?

X1 controller pinout?

I have a wireless Xbox 1 controller that's still in decent condition.

I have an old USB extension that I have cut a notch out for in the reciever, and stripped the wires for soldering.

All I need now is the pinout for the plug, so I can solder the USB cord.

PS: I've got it set up so, that if we ever decide to get another X1, we can still use it.

If you need pix, I'd be willing to get them.

it runs 3 monitors easily. It dose not over heat and from what i have read it can be unlocked.pm me if you have something that you want to trade.

adware removal help

I got some kind of it from one of Google's "recommended" search results :facepalm:

Anywho, it's taken over my computer. Security Essentials won't update, Windows Updates won't run, it won't let me edit my hosts file, Malwarebytes keeps turning off it's real-time protection and there's a file in my users folder that it won't let me delete.

I've tried the safe mode route, system restore, etc all to no avail. Anyone have any ideas? :facepalm:

I've been chatting with someone on FB and he uploaded this video about him not being able to register. Can we get this fixed?

Rant: Summer coming too quickly, no insulation in roof, computer room upstairs..

Fact: The roof in our house has NO insulation in the roof.... At all. Typical 50s house.
Fact: Heat rises.
Fact: Our computer room is upstairs.
Fact: My CPU was reported running at 65�C.
Unknown: GPU temps.

I was working on my homework, combined with the above.

Sudden "click" from PSU.

Blackscreen. No fans.

*heartsink*

Wait a couple minutes, I'm able to get into BIOS.*phew* there.
Couple problems gone :(

The thing I'm most frustrated with is that there was no overheating warnings.

While reading through many reviews, I have noticed that many early Thrive users were complaining about the audio being quiet.

I've found (by accident, through a diagnostic tutorial somewhere) a way to make it noticeably louder.

In settings, go to Multimedia.
Then go to Audio Settings.
SRS multimedia settings.
Make sure the "Use Default settings" is unchecked.
Put "bass" around 50% on both, and "treble" around 65% on both, too.
(The defaults are around 20%)
**DO NOT set them at 100%!**
If you notice clipping, pay attention to which frequency is playing. If it's bass frequencies chopping up, turn down the bass, and vice versa.
I don't know if "over-driving" will affect your warranty, but if you need to send it in because you blew your speakers up, Toshiba probably will have you pay for replacements.

This probably consumes more battery, but at a 6+-hour battery, I haven't noticed either way.

If you find yourself trying to listen to music quietly, simply turn the "defaults" mentioned back on.

I'll post a screenshot soon of what I have my settings at.

It's almost as good of volume as my A105, but NOWHERE near as much bass as my A105.

Dual PC Case

I've been talking to a guy on OCN that put 2 NZXT Source 210 cases together to make 1 case. he did a pretty good job and I think I might give it a shot later this year but first, I need to find 2 better cases. I like how they only cost $40 shipped each, that's deff a plus but I want more rads in it.

I'm looking for a case that has the following:

Can be modded to have a 360 rad in the front and either a 240 rad or 360 rad in the top.
Bottom mount PSU
HDD bay that can be moved easily. (Like the HAF series)
Most importantly! They have to be able to sit flush side by side!

Let me what you guys think and what suggestions you might have.
